In this article, we will see the system requirement for Oracle golden gate and will install oracle golden gate.

  1. Supported Operating System for Oracle GoldenGate 12c

Linux x86-64: In Linux, Linux 5 and 6 are supported and RHEL 5 and 6 are supported.
Solaris x86-64: Solaris 10 and 11 are supported, SPARC 64-bit: version 10 and 11 are supported.
Windows x64: Versions 2008 R2 and 2012 supported

2. Memory Requirement

Each extract and replicat process needs 25mb to 55mb of memory. So total would depend on no of concurrent processes running at a time. Swap space should be sufficient for Oracle Golden Gate processes.

3. Disk Requirement

450 to 800 MB required for its installation files and for working directory we need 40 MB space.

4. Network Requirement

Configure both servers to use TCP/IP

We can do the GoldenGate Installation in 2 ways.

1.Install Golden Gate with GUI

2.Install Golden Gate with Silent Option :
