In this post, we are going to create ADWC database on OCI. We assume that you must have OCI account with valid credentials and compartments.

Launch the web browser and Log into your assigned OCI account.

Expand the Hamburger menu and select “Autonomous Data Warehouse” or alternatively, click on “Autonomous Data Warehouse” on the welcome page.

Select the compartment and Click “Create Autonomous Data Warehouse”.

  • Display Name: NEWADW
  • Database Name: NEWORCLDB
  • CPU Core Count: 2
  • Storage (TB): 1
  • Password: Set password for the ADMIN user
  • LICENSE TYPE: Select “Subscribe To New Database Software License And The Database Cloud Service”.
  • TAGS: Ignore this section

After you have filled the wizard, click “Create Autonomous Data Warehouse.

Initially, the status of the service instance will read “Provisioning.”

Check if the Status for your instance is “Available,” indicating your instance is ready to use.

In next post, we can connect ADWC database with SQL Developer.

Thank you for giving your valuable time to read the above information.
