In this post, you will learn how to upload the export dump file to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Object Storage and generate a Pre-Authenticated URL for the export dump file.

We assume that you must have OCI account with valid credentials and compartments. Launch the web browser and Log into your assigned OCI account.

Expand the Hamburger menu and select “Object Storage” or alternatively, click on “Object Storage” on the welcome page.

Click on “NEWBUCKET” which we created in the earlier post and then click on “Upload Object“.

Click on “Browse” and select the file then click on “upload object”.

You can see the object uploaded on the Objects tab.

You need to generate a pre-authenticated URL for the dump file uploaded for the data pump import client to access the dump file.

Click on menu near to dumpfile and select Create Pre-Authenticated Request.

  • Name: Import_to_ADWC
  • Pre-Authenticated Request Target: Object
  • Access Type: Permits Reads on the Object
  • Click Create Pre-Authenticated Request.

Make a note of Pre-Authenticated URL generated which will used for importing the schema.

In the next post, we can import the HR schema into ADWC instance.

Thank you for giving your valuable time to read the above information.
